Threshold Heirlooms

Installation of soft sculpture, altered objects, print and video. An organic, cumulative process drove this body of work. The premise of a mythologized future pre-history, ten thousand years in the future, in which beings are dealing with the detritus and attempting to make sense of our time was also the main idea behind each object. Enactments of these abstracted characters occurred on opening night and throughout the month-long exhibit.

Latex paint on salvaged fabric, serigraphy on fabric, found rope, machine knit fabric, deconstructed bicycle tires, etching on silk sewn to found dress, etching on paper, modular wood frame platform, latex paint on found branches, crocheted electrical wire, zipties
